Our Worship

We believe in the Biblical pattern of personal and corporate worship. The Bible says "God is Spirit". We must worship Him in Spirit according to TRUTH -- the Word of God.

We clap our hands "O Clap your hands, all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Psalm 47:1 KJV

We lift our hands "Thus will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name." Psalm 63:4, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." Psalm 134:2, KJV

We stand and praise the Lord "Then the Levites...said, Stand up and bless the Lord your God for ever and ever; and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise." Nehemiah 9:5, KJV

We say "amen" "And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground." Nehemiah 8:6, "Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, amen. Praise ye the Lord." Psalm 106:48, KJV

We sing choruses as well as hymns "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16, KJV

We have preaching and teaching "It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Ephesians 4:11-12, "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14, KJV

We use musical instruments "Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet, praise Him with the sound of the harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance, praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals, praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals." Psalm 150:3-5, KJV

The whole church prays at once for specific needs "And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth and the sea and all that in them is." Acts 4:24, KJV

We come to the altar "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16, NIV

We have speaking in tongues and interpretation "Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues." I Corinthians 14:39, KJV "But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal...To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues." I Corinthians 12:7, 10 KJV

We prophecy "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." I Corinthians 14:3, KJV "For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be comforted." I Corinthians 14:31, KJV "Follow after charity and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. " I Corinthians 14:1, KJV

We sing in tongues and in English "For if I pray in an unknown language, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the Spirit and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the Spirit and I will sing with the understanding also." I Corinthians 14:14-15, KJV

We anoint with oil and pray for the sick "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." James 5:14-15, KJV

We gather together for church services "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25, NIV
